Thanks for reposting the last bit. I know D is very protective of his private life and obviousely his sexuality. That is his right. I totally understand the private life part. The sexuality confuses me a bit. I mean I dont really get the dont wanna be boxed in part. Unless you are a little bit of everything then I guess that it fits. If like me you love men then its quite simple to just laugh and go "oh I like men" or if I was gay to just be that. But he takes it really seriousely to the point of narkiness about it. I dont think he has to spill the beans about any details of his private life. I just dont get the desire to promote himself as sexuality unknown.
Janie dont feel bad. I think we as fans have been on the whole the most respectful group in regards to his private life. Noone has ever spoken of who he has been with. I think he leaves it open with his being ambigous for us to speculate how we want with that. We are not the moral guardians of all things unspoken.

You know....... I'm not so sure that I'd call sitting around talking about him as invading his private life. I mean, we really do only know what is out the public area and the rumors that float around. So, Janie, I don't think you need to feel guilty about your posts in the least.
But then I know for a fact that many of us have made (from time to time) the decision not to seek a meeting or not to wait outside a venue or not go to his hotel or the airport BECAUSE we respected Darren's privacy, and I personally think that speaks far more loudly about respect than the chatting we endulge in with other fans and occasionally speculating about things that are "private".
*rolls eyes at the story about the diva moment* Can someone say "overreaction"? LMAO!!!! With a touch of arrogrance to send someone a book as if to lecture THEM on how to act. But I love the way the magazine got him back by bringing it up to combine with his latest round of 'maybe/maybe not'. PERFECT!!!! lol
I LOVE LOVE LOVE (!) the fact that Darren used the phrase "Powers that be". Times like that, a part of wonders just where the nice man picked it up. Could be he just happened to ............ Nahhhhhh. hehe

The funny thing is he goes completely bonkers at Cream for daring to ask. Though maybe he got angry that they dared repeat what Leo had supposedly told them. But when the Gay mags suggest maybe "man love" he plays up to it and says sure yeah why not etc cause god knows he wouldnt want to chuck a diva like tantrum and walk out on them. He always says its tough with the gay crowd cause they are not sure whether hes "using" them basically. Well really what is it?
